Rabbit Class - The Manor
Back to Latest News
This week in Year 1, we went on a walk to investigate where the Manor House used to be. We found evidence of the stables and discovered that the entrance of the house used to be nearly as big as our classrooms! Also, did you know that they would not have had a fridge to keep their food cold? They had a basement deep underground where they would have stored their food.
We also took part in Go Orange Day. Many children designed some truly creative oranges and took part in a competition to see who could roll an orange the furthest. The furthest it was rolled was 27m!
During our forest school session, we enjoyed creating games and climbing trees. We also started to learn some special knots and hitches to create a variety of things from fishing rods to a tepees.
