We have several things to share this week!

On Monday it was Go Orange Day. We loved seeing each other's oranges that had been decorated over the weekend while they were displayed in the hall. We enjoyed rolling our orange outside to see who could roll it the furthest. We also all agreed that the clementine muffins we had for dessert at lunch were delicious!

This week was pea week in our Eat Them to Defeat Them vegetable challenge. We learned that peas grow in pods and that pea plants need a cane to support them as they grow. The plant uses its tendrils to grab onto the cane. On Tuesday we tasted pea fritters and later we also tried snap peas. The children enjoyed the snap peas so much that lots of them went back for seconds! On Tuesday we also enjoyed an art lesson where we were doing observational drawings of our beach treasures. We had to carefully observe the object to draw its outline and add details to the drawing.

On Wednesday we made our own treasure maps. We used symbols from a key to plot objects such as trees, benches and paths onto our map. Then we hid one of our beach treasures that we collected on the Frinton trip, and used an x to mark the spot. We enjoyed swapping our map with a partner to see if we could find each other's treasures!
