Year 4 - The fall of the Roman Republic

This week in Year 4 we continued our learning about Romans – particularly the issues surrounding the Roman Republic. During our learning we became consuls, trying to solve three of the main issues that the senate would have faced, attempting to come up with solutions with minimal consequences. While this was happening, we have some mean Tax Farmers coming around to take tax from us. We soon decided that it is difficult to make decisions for all, and started to understand why the Roman Republic began to fail.
We also had our weekly visit with the rabbits this week. We found them very calming and found that the rabbits seem to enjoy our classrooms as well, since they spent a lot of time laying out around the room, sleeping.
