Year 1 Exploring The Orchard

This week, Year 1 children have started to look at reading and writing the time. We looked at the meaning of the different clock hands and practised counting around the clock in hours.

Rabbit Class continued their Painting Skills journey in Art, this time focusing on our artist study, Jackson Pollock, and practising the different splatter painting techniques he famously used in his work.

Squirrel Class enjoyed their Forest School session visiting the orchard, observing how the trees have changed since their last visit and the growing wildlife in the pond. They had the fantastic opportunity to coach Reception children in their second Forest School session and loved helping them to explore the grounds.
