Year 6 - Trip to Lidl

Year 6 visited Lidl as part of their exciting MasterChef Week preparations. Travelling on the school minibus, the children were tasked with selecting ingredients for two Titanic-inspired dishes: a traditional English vegetable pie and an American peach cobbler.

During the visit, Year 6 demonstrated excellent Mathematical and life skills by budgeting carefully, comparing prices, identifying the best value products and calculating how much change they would receive at the checkout. They worked collaboratively, making thoughtful decisions about their purchases while staying within budget.

The children are now ready to confidently begin creating their delicious Titanic-inspired recipes!
