Year 1 & 2 - Road Safety Show!

This week, our Year 1 and Year 2 classes had a very exciting Road Safety Show! The children were thrilled to meet the Red Man and the Green Man from the pelican crossings, who helped teach us all about how to cross the road safely.

Through actions and lots of fun interaction, the children learned when to stop, when to wait, and when it is safe to cross. Everyone listened carefully and joined in brilliantly, showing fantastic learning and enthusiasm.

Our Road Safety Tips for Year 1 & 2:

• Always stop, look and listen before crossing the road
• Wait for a grown-up to help you cross
• Use pelican or zebra crossings whenever you can
• Watch for the Green Man and check the road is clear before crossing
• Never run onto the road or cross between parked cars

The children had a wonderful time and came away with lots of important knowledge to help keep them safe when out and about. Well done, Year 1 and Year 2!
