Bodies of water experts
Back to Latest News
This week we have had lots of fun learning about different types of bodies of water including lakes, rivers, ponds and oceans. We have done some research and learned about the main differences between them, such as whether they have salty or fresh water, whether they have still or moving water and whether they are landlocked (surrounded by land) or not.
Today the children had a chance to show what they have learned by making mini news-report-style videos. We used the green screen in the technology zone (with background pictures to be added later) and had a great time sitting in a large inflatable canoe with a paddle to film our videos! The children did an amazing job and managed to learn lots of their lines off by heart too after lots of determined practise with their partners.
We can't wait to put the final touches to the videos by adding the green screen images and to see the final results!
