The sun is shining and the Pirates are out!

The children had a great time exploring the 'Pirates' Unit of Work this week. We have witnessed some amazing role play scenarios and ideas. The children are making maps, writing about being pirates and even practising their gruffest pirate voice. 

We had a visit from the Nursing Team to talk about the importance of looking after their teeth and keeping them healthy. Then PC Wayne came to speak to us about the police. The children had lots of questions as we've just completed our 'People Who Help Us' Unit. 

On Friday we took part in the NSPCC Childhood Day Mile. Believe it or not, but Reception children were adamant that they were going to run most of the way, just like the older children. Amazing stamina from our budding athletes!
