Year 1 Vet Visits
Back to Latest News
Another fantastic week of learning in Year 1! Rabbit and Squirrel Class began the week with a special assembly by Nite Owl, followed by a vet visit where they learned all about the roles and responsibilties of the job and how to look after a pet. Our special visitor was even accompanied by a rabbit that the children were very excited to greet and pet.
The children are continuing to review their recent Biology learning, where we have been exploring the different animal groups and characteristics. In Maths, children have been consolidating their halving and doubling facts and counting in tens, as well as comparing different types of mass using measuring jugs in the water tray.
Rabbit Class had a wonderful Forest School session in the Science Garden and were eager to explore the seasonal changes in nature as move into the colder months. They also completed a nature treasure hunt and kindly delivered these findings to their 'bug hotel'!
