Year 6 - Shared Reading with Year 2

Year 6 paired up with Year 2 today and supported them with their reading. Year 6 listened to a Year 2 child read, asked them questions and helped supported them with blending and reading of new words.

Some of our Year 6 children said:

"I enjoyed helping the younger children to read unfamilar words."

"It helped me with my understanding of questions when reading."

"I liked reading outside in the sunshine with my Year 2 partner."
