Year 3 - Stone Age

Today, we travelled back in time to the Stone Age! 

As hunter-gatherers, we collected materials for our fire, which was lit with 'stones'. It kept us warm, as our water boiled. As we waited, we ate delicious 'oats' before drinking the infused 'nettle tea'.

Then, we created Cave Paintings using mainly red, brown and black 'pigments made from rock'. We drew around our hands just as we had seen in the Stone Age cave paintings, then smudged the outlines. We also drew Stone Age animals, such as woolly mammoths and wild boar, which early settlers hunted for meat.
