Year 3 - Elmer Day
Back to Latest News
Once again, the whole school celebrated Elmer Day. Elmer Day is a chance to celebrate the importance of friendship, kindness and inclusivity.
As part of the celebrations we performed a song that we have been learning with Miss Lawrence for a music video. The whole school performed together and we were filmed by a drone which was really exciting! Then we had the opportunity to perform as a year group. We are really looking forward to seeing the final video!
When we got back to class we shared the things that make each of us unique, telling our friends what we thought was special about them too. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate what makes each of us different. Pupils were proud to talk about their heritage, the language they speak at home, their physical differences and the things that they enjoy, are passionate about or have talents for. We have so many musicians, dancers, gymnasts, polyglots, and sports stars.
In Year 3, we used the top of a milk bottle to make our own Elmer. Once completed, they will be used as planters and sold during enterprise week.
