Year 5 and 6 - Dementia Awareness

This morning, Year 5 and 6 met with Home Instead as part of a Dementia Awareness workshop. They learnt about dementia and how it may affect adults as they get older. 

They asked thought-provoking questions including:

‘How can I support someone with dementia?’

‘What are the stages of dementia and are there any ways of slowing the process?’ 

‘Have scientists been able to find a cure for dementia?’

Well done to Year 5 and 6 for showing a good understanding of dementia and how to support all members of our community.
