Year 1 Outdoor Classroom Day

Year 1 had a wonderful time embracing Outdoor Classroom Day today. The children loved being outside in the fresh air and sunshine to explore the different areas in our garden, such as the shop, the Small World, the sand and water trays, drawing with chalk on the concrete, and enjoying the new bench the children recently helped to build. In the afternoon, the children moved their Science learning outside to go on a plant scavenger hunt, identifying different flowering plants and trees on the school grounds. We finished the day with a story outside. Ask your child what they enjoyed most about Outdoor Classroom Day!
