Beach Trip - Reception Blog 02.07.21

We have had a lovely week as we started on our Seaside topic, exploring how the sand changes when water is added, the sounds you can hear when you listen to a shell, creating lovely beach artwork and looking at photos and talking about Chalkwell beach before we visited. 

We were so fortunate to have amazing weather when we headed to the beach. The children loved exploring the area, finding interesting shells and stones, paddling in rock pools and finding crabs and sea shells. 

According to the children, one of their favourite parts of the trip was eating fish and chips on the beach! After lunch they took off their socks and wellies and went off to explore some more. Needless to say, there were a lot of sleepy head on the way back home. 

We have also been practising with Mrs Juson for our Sport's Day. They can't wait to take part in the events next week.
