Dormouse & Hedgehog - Science Week (Fossils)

For Science Week, the children in Reception had fun continuing to learn more about fossils!

The children were introduced to the pioneering palaeontologist and fossil collector, Mary Anning. Through a Chatta, the children learnt that she searched for fossils on beaches in England, and was the first person to discover the full skeleton of a Plesiosaur! 

They continued to explore the different shapes and patterns of fossils and created some beautiful craft and artwork inspired by them, have a look at some of the lovely designs below.
