Year 5 - Music Technology Workshop

This week, The Havering Music School chose Drapers’ Maylands for a unique and engaging music technology workshop opportunity.

The aim was to nurture their curiosity and foster creativity, catering to the interests of all children.

The workshop was where the worlds of coding, science, and music collided! The pupils assembled coding blocks like puzzle pieces, we created digital musical instruments that came to life with a single press of a button or even a wave of the hand.

We measured temperature, light, air quality, and more to create unique musical experiences. In this workshop, we transformed code from an abstract concept on a screen to a tangible, physical experience that we could touch and hear.

Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and we thank The Havering Music School for choosing Drapers’ Maylands for this amazing opportunity.
