Year 5 - Diwali Dance

Today year 5 enjoyed learning Diwali dance moves. The dance of Diwali is the most spiritual dance from ancient India. Diwali is the Indian festival of lights and one of the most popular Sanātanī festivals celebrated. Celebrations include lighting of homes with traditional clay diyas (lamps) and colourful rangoli (an artform entailing patterns created on the floor), fireworks and sharing mithai (sweets) and gifts with family and friends. The children gave a spirited performance and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
