Dormouse & Hedgehog Class

We have had another lovely week in Reception, even though the weather has not been kind to us!

The children have grown in confidence when using the resources and new areas of learning. They loved the new Tactile Area, exploring the lentils and talking about texture and how it made them feel. 

In maths this week, we have been learning about making comparisons and using the language 'more than', 'less than', 'same as', 'equal to'. The teachers are very impressed at how well the children are understanding this concept. 

During phonics, we have been focusing on the first four Set One Sounds. Fred has helped us to hear the sounds that are in words and we can now 'Fred Talk and read the word' when using the magnetic white boards. 

We hope to see you at our wonderful fireworks event later. The children have been working hard to decorate the posters and prize boxes!
