Year 5 - Opening of the Duck Pond

Over the past few weeks Year 5 have been working hard to make a new home for the ducks at school. They worked in groups to build the pond using brick, cement and lots of teamwork. The year group finally finished the pond last week and today the ducks entered it for the first time. 

Year 5 lined the pathway to the pond and some children lead the ducks into the pond. Some of our children said:

'I can't wait to see the ducks swimming in the pond.'

'I hope the ducks enjoy their new home.'

The children watched the ducks enter their pond for the first time and observed them in their natural habitat.
