Year 1 Science Week

Year 1 have been very busy celebrating all things Science for British Science Week, from learning about the role of an astronaut, to investigating which materials would be suitable to patch up a hole in a coat. We were even lucky enough to be visited by an astrophysicist, who spoke to us about what his job entailed and helped us to create our very own rocket!

At Forest School, Rabbit Class made the most of the rainy weather and enjoyed squelching across the mud and jumping in puddles. The children were determined to build their very own shelter to enjoy their hot chocolate and biscuit under. 

As Year 1 come to the end of their Painting Skills learning journey, Squirrel Class have been working hard to produce their final pieces, inspired by Jackson Pollock's famous splatter technique.
