Dormouse & Hedgehog Class WC 30.01.23

In Reception we have been enjoying our ‘Food and Cooking’ Unit of Work. As we have been celebrating Chinese New Year over the last couple of weeks, we decided to try different Chinese foods. The children loved the sweet and sour sauce, prawn crackers, egg fried rice and green tea!

Dormouse Class had a great time at Forest School. During the session they learned about the importance of looking after and nurturing the young sapling trees. They fixed some bird feeders that had fallen off the tree and explored the new life growing in the pond. 

On Friday we took part in Number Day as organised by the NSPCC. Buddy’s Key Challenge was completed by the children working on different maths challenges and searching for Buddy once they solved the puzzle and found the key!

The children were very excited to receive their new Drapers’ Maylands bag!
