Year 1 Spirals

Continuing on from our Drawing Skills learning, children studied Henri Matisse, with a focus on his work 'The Snail'. Then, they created their own piece of Art inspired by this artist, using different media.

Year 1 have also been learning about hot and cold places, looking at the different climates, animals that live in such environments, and how we can keep ourselves warm. Children followed a recipe very carefully to make their own hot chocolate, ensuring they used the correct measurement quantities and equipment.
