Diwali Celebrations October 2022 - Dormouse & Hedgehog Class

On the lead up to half term, Reception had a wonderful week learning about and Celebrating Diwali!

The children had so much fun creating firework paintings, designing their own diva lamps, decorating Rangoli and Mehndi patterns and learning Diwali dances with Mrs Drayan. Mrs Drayan shared with the children how her family celebrate and told them of her personal experiences of Diwali. They looked at photos showing Temples, learned about which food is cooked and enjoyed seeing their teachers dressed in traditional clothing!

On Monday 31st October we were so excited to be invited to a Diwali Workshop, where we were told all the correct terms for the dance positions and had a professional dance lesson!
