Year 3 Adventure in the woods.

Today we started our new learning unit of the Stone Age.

Mrs Keene saw something strange in the woods and wanted us to help investigate and find out what it was. Once she found that it was safe, all of year 3 went to have a look too. 

To our surprise, we saw what looked like a deserted den with some tools around it that looked like they were from the Stone Age. There were flints, spearheads and hide left around the den and lots of fire remains too. We also found a wonderful book called 'Stone Age Boy' that we read...it was then we realised it may have been the boy in the story that had left his belongings. 

Ask about some of the new vocabulary we have learnt this week: flint, spearheads and striking.
