Year 6 - Asia Wow Day

The children were really proud to share the projects they had worked on over the half-term with their classmates today. We were impressed with the effort that some had put in to preparing their presentation, booklet, artwork or brochure. Well done to all those that showed great motivation to create something they could be proud of! 

On Tuesday we went on 'holiday' to Jordan, India and Japan. In each of the countries we tried types of tea and different foods (including falafel, sushi and raita), as well as doing an activity inspired by the culture. In India we practised yoga, in Japan we folded origami cranes and in Jordan we created watercolour paintings of The Treasury at The Lost City of Petra. We also wrote postcards home to our families. 

Later in the week the children created a travel brochure for one of the countries we had visited. Ask them to tell you about their favourite place.
