Back to Latest News
The children have made a great start to the new term and have come back to school keen and determined to continue their learning.
This week we have worked from a book called “Quest” by Aaron Becker. The children compared the artwork in Quest with Claude Monet’s style of painting.
In the story, the two children created a rainbow to save the king. In our science lesson, we looked at how rainbows are created using white light and water. We observed refraction, dispersion and the colour spectrum.
During a problem-solving task, the children were given an array of materials to construct a bridge which had to span a given distance and support a specific weight. The children used listening, thinking and communication skills to complete the task as a team.
